Obituary: Fode Reams, Barbara E.
Age 83
She was born in Ritzville, WA on July 11, 1930 to Everett (Pete) and Elizabeth Streeter.
Barbara graduated from Ritzville High School in 1949 and married Alfred (Fritz) W. Fode September 21, 1949.
They raised their family on a wheat farm in Lind, WA until Fritz passed away in 1978.
On January 11, 1992, Barbara married Kenneth Reams of Kennewick.
They moved to Ritzville, WA where they spent their summers and wintered in Hemet, CA.
Barbara so loved to cook and bake and could always be heard singing away.
She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing card games, crossword puzzles and doing plastic canvas projects.
Barbara loved spending time with her family.
She also enjoyed the many gatherings, BBQs and rendezvous with friends.
Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother and beloved grandmother.
She was also a wonderful caring friend to many.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, husband Fritz and an infant son.
She is survived by her husband Ken, son Gregg (Angie) Fode, daughters Gail Fode Wolfe and Ronda (Steven) Scott; sister Janet (Richard) Bailey; eight grandchildren, 14 (soon to be 15) great grandchildren; three stepsons, Mark (Denise) Reams, Brian (Shrue) Reams, and Philip (Anika) Reams; six step grandchildren, one step great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all of us.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Lind Community Church, 114 E. 5th Street, Lind, WA.
Barbara’s ashes will be buried next to Fritz at the Lind Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the church.
