Up a tree: Spokane city firefighters Marlin Thorman, left, and Steve Harms, volunteering through Spokane Firefighters IAFF Local 29, help install 689 branches on the 50-foot Christmas tree in River Park Square on Thursday. The tree has 10,000 lights and approximately 2,700 ornaments. Santa is scheduled to arrive Nov. 22 at 7p.m.
