Fairfield City Council – SCRAPS director Nancy Hill made a presentation about providing animal control service to the town. She offered a three-year contract at $1,176 a year. A public hearing was held on the 2014 property tax, after which a majority of the council voted to take the 1 percent annual increase allowed by state law. It will add $854 to the town’s revenue.
