Body found in Spokane River Friday identified

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office identified a body found in the Spokane River Friday as Donald J. Kuest, 46. Two hikers spotted Kuest floating face-down near Upriver Drive about 3 p.m. The medical examiner said Monday that Kuest died of drowning and hypothermia. Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies said Friday the body showed no obvious signs of foul play, but the manner of Kuest’s death hasn’t been released.
