Obituary: Johnson, Daniel I.
Age 61
(Age 61) A resident of Hillsboro, died Tuesday morning, September 24, 2013 after a very short illness.
A Celebration Service of Dan’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Sonrise Church, 6701 NE Campus Court, in Hillsboro.
All are welcome to attend.
DANIEL IRA JOHNSON was born on November 7, 1951 in Spokane, Washington, the son of Ira William and Noreen (Edwards) Johnson.
He was raised and received his education in Deer Park, WA, graduating with the Deer Park High School Class of 1970.
Following his graduation, he worked for Long Lake Lumber Company for 22 years.
Later, he attended Spokane Community College where he received his Associates Degree in Electronics.
Dan was united in marriage to Marilyn Billman on June 16, 1973 in Spokane.
They celebrated their 40th anniversary this summer, with a whale watching cruise in the San Juans.
They made their home in the Spokane Valley until 1997, when Dan was employed by Intel at Ronler Acres in Hillsboro.
Daniel was an active member of Sonrise Church, where he was very involved with serving at the Food Pantry and played on the church softball team.
Dan was a loving, gentle, generous man who was always happiest serving others.
He was an avid reader, loved to water ski, and loved capturing God’s creations on his camera during hikes.
Spending time with family brought him the most joy of all.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Ray Billman.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, Son David (Lynette) Johnson, Son Justin Johnson, Brother Harold Johnson, and Sisters Deloris (Bill) Donnelly, Irene Johnson and Melody (Dick) Grinnell.
His three grandsons Dylan, Hudson and Crew were the loves of his life.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family.

From a young age, Daniel accepted the Lord Jesus Christ to be his Savior, whom he joyfully met face to face when God called him Home.
