Obituary: Krupke, Judy Elaine

KRUPKE, Judy Elaine (Age 64) Judy Elaine Krupke, age 64, passed away on October 11, 2013.

Judy is survived and greatly missed by her husband of 41 years, Leslie Krupke; Dawn Krupke, daughter; Matthew Krupke, son; Debbie Dickerson, sister; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins, all of which she loved very much.

Judy had a special relationship with her father’s sister, Pat Moran, whom Judy loved as a second mother.

The two were inseparable, caring and loving each other for over 18 years.

Judy was preceded in death by her father Allen Burleson, mother Bertha Lee Burleson, brother Bruce Burleson, sister Carol Robins, and infant brother Ricky Burleson.

Judy was born in Longview, Washington and grew up in Wenatchee, Washington.

She graduated from Wenatchee High in 1967.

Judy got her nursing degree from Columbia Basin Community College and went on to be a Registered Nurse.

She first worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, where she met her future husband while moving into a new apartment.

Judy worked as an RN until Matthew was born and then changed her focus to raising a family full time and became “Dr.

Mom” at home.

Judy talked many times about the fun and adventures she had as a child with her brother, sisters and many cousins.

A special place that held many fond memories was Silver Falls on the Entiat River.

She loved to fish and was her husband’s favorite fishing partner.

Throughout her life, Judy enjoyed many different crafts and hobbies including photography, reading, cooking, knitting, sewing, oil painting, ceramics and silversmithing.

She particularly enjoyed crocheting plastic grocery bags into water bottle holders.

She would make them on an individual customized basis for family, friends, and acquaintances.

Judy loved to travel with some of her favorite trips being to Lake Brienz, Switzerland, an Alaskan cruise, a family vacation to Maui, and RV trips to the Oregon Coast.

Her favorite time was the Christmas season and spending it with family.

Judy was a devout Christian and followed the readings and teachings of the Joyce Meyer Ministries.

Judy was more than just a mother and wife to her family; she was our friend.

Funeral Services for Judy will be held Saturday, October 26th at 1 pm, with viewing 1 hour prior to service, at the New Life Center Church of God, 310 5th Street NE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802.

Concluding services interment will be at the Evergreen Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 1301 10th Street NE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802.
