Obituary: Tumlinson, Jeannine Ellen
She passed away on September 25, 2013.
She leaves behind her husband of 66 years Bill R. Tumlinson.
She also leaves behind two daughters Linda Pitt, and Karolee Jepson (Terry).
Jeannine also leaves behind 9 grandkids and 18 great- grandkids.
Jeannine has 1 sister Joyce Sampson (Meryl), and 4 brothers, Robert Carlson from Alaska, David Carlson (Doris), Gary Carlson and Bill Carlson (Ruth).
Jeannine was born to Bob and Eva Carlson in Spokane Washington.
She married the love of her life Bill in 1947.
She was very devoted to her family and friends.
She had a very close fondness for her grandchildren.
She was known to them lovingly as “Grandma Duck”.
She enjoyed life.
She was an excellent seamstress, working professionally as a “power serger” at Kathleen Louise Mfg.
in Spokane.
She loved to cook.
Her specialty was Mexican food.
In the early 1960’s both she and Bill owned a Mexican restaurant called “Pancho’s” which was across from the old Coliseum.
They both loved to travel.
They frequently went to the Oregon Coast staying at Lincoln City.
In 1959 Jeannine dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
As a dedicated Witness she was active in the door to door ministry telling others her hope from the Bible.
She was very active in doing this until her health began failing her some time ago.
Jeannine’s hope was to live on a paradise earth in good health with her family.
She had a firm belief in the resurrection as promised by Jesus at John 5:28,29.
Her Memorial will be Saturday October 26th at the Hillyard Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2824 N. Lee St., at 3:30 p.m. A reception will follow at Bemiss Elementary School.
