Age 40
A Celebration of Life will be held September 8, 2013 at Good Shepherd Community Church in Boring , Oregon at 4:00 PM.
Matthew John Foster was born on June 2, 1973 in Spokane Washington to Donald and Sara (Sowle) Foster.
He was raised and received his schooling in Spokane and attended Lewis and Clark High School and was in track, cross country, Jazz and Chamber choir.
He attended Beacon Chapel Church in Spokane and he attended Southwestern Conservative Baptist Bible College in Phoenix, Arizona, where he met his future wife Anna.
On June 13, 1992, he was united in marriage to Anna Bailey in Boring Oregon.
They made their home in Spokane until 1995, they returned to Oregon and lived in the Boring and Estacada area, where Matthew worked in construction.
He also attended Clackamas Community College and got his Association of General Contractors degree.
Matthew was a devoted husband and father and committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and to living by example of a life of integrity and honor to show his four sons how real men live.
He and his wife served in ministry together at Five Mile Community Church in Spokane, Barton Community Church in Boring, Oregon and the last seven years at Sandy Baptist Church in Sandy, Oregon.
Matthew enjoyed hiking, bicycling, and music.
He and his wife sang in the choir and did special music throughout their marriage.
Matthew also enjoyed and spent time collecting and reading maps, but his greatest priorities were his family, serving Christ and music.
Surviving is his wife, Anna, his four sons; Benjamin, Elliot, Christian and Gideon in Boring, Oregon; his parents, Donald and Sara Foster in Fairfield, Washington; siblings , David Foster in Spangle, Washington, Stephen Foster and Leslie Ramos in Spokane and Oscar Foster in Portland, Oregon.
