Obituary: Thomas, Sandy “Seets”

Age 69

THOMAS, Sandy “Seets” 07.27.1944 ~ 08.24.2013 Passed away August 24, 2013 after a very brave battle.

She was born on July 27th 1944 in Chicago, Illinois.

She married and moved to Seattle where she had two boys, David and Mike Thomas.

She lived in the Seattle, Everett area for some time as a waitress, and in the late nineties she moved back to Spokane.

Seet’s loved her friends and family, her sister Kathleen Woodson and son David were the closest to her and shared the last parts of her life with her.

Nate and April Messer are roommates of David’s, and helped with so very much and also got very close to Sandy in her need towards the end.

Sandy was the most unique personalities one could ever have the pleasure to meet.

Her sense of humor surpassed all negative.

You would always, at the very least, smile when you were around her, if not bust out in laughter.

She kept a beautiful home; she was a wonderful decorator and could make the simplest place look very classy using things she found at thrift stores.

Her plants were remarkable but her biggest gift was the love she had for kitties.

She was always there for any of them that needed help.

KC and KiKi, and Big Boy were all saved by her and have found a new home with Miss Sandy’s sister and husband (David), which soothed Sandy so much towards the end.

She had spent time refinishing old ice boxes and tables and had enjoyed making what lawn she had look very nice.

Reading was a passion of hers and there were many books she made her way through.

She talked fondly of her Auntie Kathleen Carroll Lunch she loved her very much and her brothers Steven R. Carroll and James A. Carroll.

Also she was close to her cousins David Anderson, Carol Rhea and Gail Walashek (the Linden twins).

One of her best friends was LaRue LaValley.

We will always smile when we think of her with warm love in our hearts.

God bless you Miss Sandy.

There will be a gathering of a celebration of her life in October.
