Fair schedule

Here’s a sampling of what’s happening today, the last day of this year’s Spokane County Interstate Fair:

8:30 a.m. – Llama halter judging. Camelid Barn.

10 a.m. – Exhibit buildings open. Demonstrations and musical performances throughout the day.

11:30 a.m. – Racing pigs; additional heats at 2, 3:30 and 7:15 p.m. North Lawn.

Noon – Carnival rides and amusements open.

1 p.m. – Kids’ mutton bustin’; additional competitions at 2:30, 4:30 and 6 p.m. North of Grandstands.

2 p.m. – Dairy goat games. Goat Barn.

4 p.m. Quilt raffle drawing, Steam and Gas Area. Youth horse awards, Horse Arena.

8 p.m. – Fair closes.

• Fair admission is $10 for adults; $7 for kids and seniors. Today, children 13 and younger admitted free with a donation of a coat in good condition to the Coats 4 Kids Drive. The fair takes place at Spokane County Fair and Expo Center at Broadway Avenue and Havana Street in Spokane Valley.
