Obituary: Vest, Robert Lloyd
Age 82
He was born September 24, 1931 to Walter and Lillian Vest in East Farms, Washington.
Robert lived his whole life here in the Newman Lake area and loved the Northwest area very much.
He graduated from Otis Orchards High School in 1949, and joined the U.S. Air Force after graduation.
Robert worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 35 years, and was one of those guys that could do anything in the plant.
After retiring from Kaiser he worked as a professional truck driver for seven years, where he was able to see all 48 lower states.
In Roberts’s youth he loved bowling and spending time riding his motorcycle.
He was an avid Washington State Cougar fan, and most of all loved spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Carol of Newman Lake, WA; sons, Steven Vest of Maryland, Larry Vest of Sagle, Idaho, and Jason Vest of Texas; daughters, Janice Vest of Post Falls, Idaho, Dena Vest of Texas; stepchildren, Jay Bordwell, Spokane, WA, Dana Bordwell, Spokane, WA, Doyle Bordwell, Newman Lake, WA, Mark Bordwell, Oroville, WA, Jerry Bordwell, Spokane Valley, WA; sister, Gladys Schneidmiller of Post Falls, ID; 12 grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations be made to American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
A memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, September 21, 2013. at ENGLISH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1700 N. SPOKANE ST. POST FALLS, ID.
