Obituary: Saty, Robert Charles

SATY, Robert Charles Robert Saty passed away in an Alzheimer facility in Arizona on Sept 16th losing a ten year battle with this disease.

Despite suffering he stayed pleasant to the end.

His family was by his side at passing.

He was a lifelong resident of Spokane, a graduate of Lewis and Clark and went into the navy right out of high school.

He proudly retired after 40 years of regular and reserve duty.

He was a member of the American Legion, Navy League and the USS Tucson Association, and attended Gonzaga.

He entered the shoe business as a teenager during wartime, retiring from L&L Shoes, as general manager of the Two Swabbies.

After retirement he moved to Newport, Washington and spent winters in Peoria AZ.

He was a fisherman, hunter, avid golfer and card player.

A celebration of his life will be held in late May in Spokane.

Survived by his wife, Molly; children, Dave Saty of Spokane, Donna Conklin (Jeff) of Portland, and Diane Forbes US Army; stepchildren, Monte Windsor (Diane) of Edgewood WA and Mitch Windsor(Karen) of Anthem AZ and seven loving, successful grandchildren, Rob, Kimberly, Rena, Evan, Katie, Aaron, and Tessa.
