Age 97
She died March 18, 2014 in Spokane, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mont Rock; an infant son, James A Rock; an adult son, Don Rock; and her elder brother.
She is survived by five children, Mont Rock, Jack Rock, Joe Rock, Judy Evans and Dixie Rock; one brother, two sisters, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vera was a long time resident of Wild Rose Prairie where she and Mont had a dairy farm.
She was a member of the Wild Rose Homemaker’s Club and active in the Eastern Washington Genealogy Society.
Vera made a mean sour cream gooseberry pie, biscuits to die for, loved bright colors and her iris garden.
The family thanks Providence St. Joseph’s Care Center for their excellent care of Vera during her last years.
