Ballots due today

SEATTLE – Ballots are due today in elections in 21 of Washington’s 39 counties.

Spokane Valley voters are asked to approve a library bond and the formation of a Library Capital Facility Area covering the cities of Spokane Valley and Millwood.

King County voters are being asked to raise taxes to support bus service through the Seattle area. Proposition 1 seeks a $60 car-tab fee and a one-tenth-of-a-cent increase in the sales tax. Tacoma voters are asked to approve bonds for the upkeep of the Point Defiance Zoo.
