Obituary: Canen, Edwin Allen

Age 66

CANEN, Edwin Allen (Age 66) Of Athol Idaho, died Sunday April 20th, of complications resulting from cancer.

He was born to Arthur and the late Eunice Canen on January 7, 1948, in Pratt Kansas.

Ed worked as an upholsterer in and around the Coeur d’Alene area for the last 35 years until he retired earlier this year.

An avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, Ed Canen spent the greater part of his life working on and restoring vintage cars and was known around the area as one of the best upholsterers in the Pacific Northwest.

Ed is survived by his five children: his sons, Paul, Ed, and Lucas and his daughters, Tiffany and Ashley.

He is also survived by five grandchildren: Andrew, Sean, Uriah, Caitlyn, and Riley.

Memorial services will be held at the Spirit Lake Park at 11 am on Saturday April 26.

As a tribute to Ed and his love of vintage cars and motorcycles, all attendees are invited to bring and show off their vintage ride.
