Obituary: Aylor, Terry R.
Terry courageously battled lung cancer for 2 years and recently went to Florida to participate in a chemo trial.
He was optimistically looking forward to retirement and felt he had won the fight!
Destiny had other plans.
We are relieved to know he is not in pain and at peace.
Terry was a kind, loving, honest person.
He had sharp wit, a great sense of humor, was loyal to the people he loved, was extremely intelligent, and loved and respected by clients, vendors, friends, and family.
What more can you hope for in life?
As a kid, he was mischievous and often got into trouble, which delighted his friends and siblings.
We remember firecrackers in soup cans, tree houses in the vacant lot, tubing down the Little Spokane River, bike rides to Comstock Park, and fishing and camping adventures.
Terry grew up in the Perry Street district in Spokane, attended Grant Elementary and Lewis & Clark High School.
After moving to Everett, WA, Terry graduated in 1970 from Cascade High School.
Later, Terry earned an AAS degree in Electronics Engineering from Spokane Community College and studied towards a B Sc.
in Industrial Technology at San Jose State University.
He successfully traveled the world while working on oil exploration ships and with companies in the Electronics industry.
He successfully obtained his private pilot license and became certified as a PADI open water scuba diver.
He spoke of wanting to visit Belize and Costa Rica again.
He was modest about his many accomplishments.
Terry’s mischievous nature, plus his desire to learn and create, enabled him to build a successful electronics business.
He was a genius in many ways, with a keen understanding of electronics.
He was devoted to providing the highest level of customer service.
The accolades of his clients and his vendors show he was a fine and honorable man.
Terry loved dogs.
When his beloved Sammy passed away in 2012, Terry considered adopting a 3 legged dog named Lucky.
Instead he found MISSY, who went to work with Terry everyday, and ALWAYS rode in the front seat of his car.
Terry’s many achievements inspire us all.
He will be dearly missed.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Aylor.
He is survived by his father, John H. Aylor, and siblings, Jan (JP) Thomasseau, Jeff (Peggy) Aylor, Carol Aylor Jackson (Nieces Haley and Lindsey Jackson, and Scott Aylor (nephews Issac and Gabriel Aylor.)
