Monroe/Lincoln streets closed on South Hill until October

$3M project funded by 10-year street bond

From staff reports
Sections of Monroe and Lincoln streets, major arterials on Spokane’s South Hill, will be closed starting Monday and likely lasting through mid-October for repairs. The stretch of north-south road from Seventh to 17th avenues will be repaved with money from the ten-year street bond, the city said in a news release Monday. The project is expected to cost between $3 million and $3.5 million, according to the city. Wheelchair ramps will also be added during the construction, according to the news release. Repairs are also underway on High Drive farther up the South Hill.
