Obituary: Polignoni, John Richard

POLIGNONI, John Richard Of Spokane, Washington, passed away tragically on Sunday, August 3 at the age of 58.

He was born and raised in Spokane and spent his entire life in the area.

He was a proud graduate of University High School, where he met his soul mate and wife of 37 years, Sheryl Polignoni.

John is survived by his wife and their three daughters, Gina Polignoni, Jenelle Sprague, and Janet Terpko, along with ten grandchildren, for which he and Sheryl proudly won the “Most Grandkids” award at their recent high school reunion.

He is also survived by his parents, Michael and Janet Polignoni, his brother, Paul Polignoni, and his sister, Alice Polignoni, all of Spokane.

John was known for his love of classic rock music.

One of his most recent pursuits included teaching his grandkids to play guitar.

While he never became a rock star in this life, he will always be remembered as a rock star by his children and grandchildren.

Just recently, he had the opportunity to walk across Abbey Road in London, happily holding up local traffic while he took in this special rock ‘n roll moment.

A memorial service will be held at Eastpoint Church at E. 15303 Sprague in the Spokane Valley on August 30 at 11 AM.
