Area public schools start soon
Thu., Aug. 21, 2014
It’s almost time for students to get back into the classroom.
Students in Spokane and surrounding school districts can look forward to a long Labor Day weekend before heading back to the classroom, with the exception of the East Valley School District, which begins school on Wednesday.
Cheney, Freeman, Gonzaga Prep, and Mead school districts will start school on Sept. 2. Students in the Central Valley, Medical Lake, Nine Mile Falls, Riverside, and Spokane districts will get one more day of summer break with their first day of school beginning on Sept. 3. And kindergartners in Spokane Public Schools will start Sept. 8.
