Terry lived most of his life in Spokane.

He served in the United States Air Force enlisting in 1949 at 15 years old.

He got in a bit of trouble about flexing his actual age but the military corrected that clerical error, they had his mother sign a release.

He started work for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in 1955.

He retired from US West in 1995 and he never changed employers.

What started as Pacific Northwest Bell became US West and is now Centurylink.

Terry attended both Whitworth University and Spokane Community College.

Terry was active with the Boy Scouts of America and served as Scout Master of Spokane’s Troop 2.

He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and was a Past Master of Spokane North Hill Lodge 210.

He was proud of his membership in the El Katif Shrine and the Highball Railroad.

Terry loved the outdoors and the family spent many weekends and vacations camping.

He was an avid traveler and took his family on many journeys all over the world; they have seen nearly every state in the Union and most of the Canadian Provinces.

Other countries visited include: England, Finland, Ireland, Israel and Mexico.

A Celebration of Remembrance will be held at Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N. Driscoll Blvd., Spokane on September 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm; a reception follows in the church parlor.
