Obituary: Zorb, Eileen V. (Hamilton)

Age 83

ZORB, Eileen V. (Hamilton) (Age 83) Eileen V. (Hamilton) Zorb, 83, formerly of St. John passed away on November 26, 2014 at the Guardian Angel Home in Liberty Lake, Washington.

Friends may pay their respects at Bruning Funeral Home on Thursday December 4, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday December 5, 2014 at the St. John United Methodist Church.

Vault interment will follow at the St. John Cemetery.

Eileen was born on February 23, 1931 to Delbert F. and Lillie E. (White) Hamilton in St. John, Washington.

She was born and raised in St. John and graduated high school there in 1949.

She attended Kinman Business School in Spokane after high school.

On September 3, 1950, Eileen married her “one and only love” and high school classmate, Robert Dale Zorb in Coeur d’ Alene.

They made their home in St. John and it was in St. John that they raised their daughter Dayle and son Monty.

Eileen worked as a bookkeeper alongside her husband at Palouse Ammonia until moving to California in 1973.

Bob and Eileen lived in Monroe, Louisiana while Bob worked on building the machine for their manufacturing plant, Poly Cal Plastics of Stockton, California.

Eileen’s passions involved working alongside her husband and her family.

Wherever Bob was, that is where she wanted to be.

They lived in Stockton, California until 2001 when they returned to Spokane and St. John.

Eileen has been compassionately and skillfully cared for by the staff of Guardian Angel Homes of Liberty Lake and Touchmark of Spokane for the past three years and very recently she received additional care from Hospice of Spokane.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care Eileen has received.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Zorb of Liberty Lake; daughter Dayle Valerie (Zorb) Rodriguez of St. John; son and daughter-in-law Monty and Susan Zorb of Stockton, California; brother Gordon Hamilton of St. John; grandchildren: Jeremy Zorb, Amber Bozovich, Hilary Coile, Deseree Gonzales and Aaron Coile; fourteen great-grandchildren ranging from 19 years to 8 weeks old and one great-great-granddaugther.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Bob and Doris Teal of College Place, Shirley (Mrs. Norman) Zorb and Mamie (Mrs. Loren) Blumenshein of Colfax, and George and Colleen Zorb of Fort Collins, Colorado; as well as her aunt Jean (Mrs. Alex) Repp of Spokane; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Memorial contributions in Eileen’s honor are suggested to the St. John-Endicott Schools Foundation PO Box 411 or the St. John Methodist Church PO Box 236, both in St. John, 99171.
