Three Spokane neighborhoods plan for future growth

Three Spokane neighborhoods will be holding meetings next week to finalize planning documents to guide future growth and development.

The evening meetings will be Tuesday for the Grandview/Thorpe Neighborhood at Finch Arboretum, 3404 W. Woodland Blvd.; Wednesday for the Peaceful Valley Neighborhood at the Peaceful Valley Community Center, 214 N. Cedar St.; and next Thursday for the North Hill Neighborhood Council at Willard Elementary School, 500 W. Longfellow Ave.

All three meetings will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The open houses will give residents of the neighborhoods a chance to review the developing plans and provide input. The planning effort will guide future growth and development in each of the neighborhood areas.

The North Hill is the largest neighborhood of the group, bounded by Francis Avenue on the north, Division Street on the east, Cora Avenue on the south and Ash Street on the west.
