Obituary: Hager, Clark

HAGER, Clark Our loving Dad went to be with the Lord, November 17, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years - Gloria; son, Clark Jr., and siblings Flora, Jesse and Eva.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, January 27, 1932 to Salvation Army officers, Jesse and Claribel Hager, Clark was one of eight children.

Survived by siblings: David, Edward, Charles and Edna; daughters, Wendy and Heather; sons-in-law: Ray and Michael; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Clark was an officer in many social civic, trade and political organizations.

He sponsored athletic teams, was campaign manager for many candidates and issues, and led the campaign for the incorporation of the new City of Spokane Valley.

Clark grew up in Dunmore, PA., was VP for his Sr. class, salutatorian, and co-captain of the football team.

He graduated from the Wharton School of Business at Univ.

of Penn., in 1954.

Clark worked at Boeing, as well as owning and operating Jobs Co., and the Spokane Valley Herald.

He was a Pres.

of the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, and was a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army.

A Memorial Service to be held December 14, at Tyrannus Christian Fellowship, 2929 N. Freya, 1:00 - 4:00.
