Obituary: Kimpel, Evelyn M.

Age 86

KIMPEL, Evelyn M. Passed December 2, 2014 in Spokane, WA.

She was born on April 29, 1928 in Richardton, ND., the daughter of Roy and Amelia Hoerner.

The family moved to Spokane in 1935.

Evelyn was a bookkeeper in the family business, Northside Building.

She remained in that position until she and her husband Ed retired.

She kept a beautiful house and yard, was a good cook and great baker.

Magic came from her kitchen.

Most important, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She will be missed by many.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ed of 61 yrs.

; her brothers Ed and Orian Hoerner; and sister Patricia Gaffney.

She is survived by her son Dick (Karen); grandsons Rich (Brandi), Greg (Shannon); granddaughter Jennifer Bennett (Scott); and seven great- grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters Elaine Lordan and Amelia Patterson; sister-in-law Mary Hoerner Riddle; brothers Don (Donna) and Roy (Marlyn) Hoerner; brother-in-law James Gaffney; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11am and will be conducted at Holy Cross Funeral Center and Cemetery Chapel, 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane.

A reception will follow the service.

The family suggests memorials may be made to The Boys Ranch or a charity of your choice.
