Obituary: Ramminger, Edwin “Mike”

RAMMINGER, Edwin “Mike” (Age 65) Passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Spokane, WA.

Mike was born in Greenville, SC to Edwin and Gertie Ramminger.

He moved to the Spokane area over 40 years ago.

Mike was a successful building con-tractor for many years, and worked as a Project Superintendent for both NW Construction and Scafco, after closing Ramminger Construction.

He loved doing things with the family and was famous for his barbequing skill.

Mike was always willing to support the kids in all their activities, 4H being a favorite.

He was described as “a helluva horseman”.

Mike loved to golf, fish (ocean), and travel to Reno and Vegas with Kathy.

An all-around handyman he always had a project going around the house (some he even finished).

A great husband, dad, grandpa and friend he will be truly missed.

Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years Kathy; daughters Dolly Ramminger and Michelle (Todd) Hue; grandchildren Kali, Joey and Mattea; sisters Joan Wilkie, Alice Sharpe and Cynthia Ramminger.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 10:00 am, in the Rose Chapel at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the John R. Rogers Foundation (JRRAFF), 1615 S. Lloyd, Spokane, WA 99212.
