Obituary: Wilson, Michael Gene

WILSON, Michael Gene “Mickey” (Age 75) Michael Gene Wilson passed suddenly on December 9, 2014 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Unionville, Missouri Sep-tember 6, 1939 to Keith Farnsworth Wilson and Jean Minear.

Mike graduated from LaPlata High School in Missouri, 1958.

He received a MA in Art and teaching in 1967 from Truman University.

He became American Board Certified in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1972 and worked for Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital until he moved to Spokane Washington in 1986.

He was the director and instructor of the Orthotics and Prosthetics program at Spokane Falls Community College until he retired in 2004.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 48 years.

His son Vince Wilson and wife Tish, daughter Angela O’Bleness and husband Abe, son Brian Wilson and wife Tina, daughter Michelle and fiancĂŠ Jordon, his grandchildren; Chris, Rachel, Annie, Amelia, Ashlea, Sydney, Trevor and Paige.

Sister Sharon Newton and husband Jim, brother Allan and his wife Liz, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Memorial Service at Millwood Presbyterian Church, December 20 at 2:00 PM, 3223 N. Marguerite Road.
