Obituary: Martin, Richard Robert Jr

MARTIN, Richard Robert, Jr. “Rugged Red” Passed away Wednesday December 17th at home with his family.

Red’s family had a private celebration of his life on Friday, December 19th.

Per his request, no other services will be held.

Red was born in Minneapolis Minnesota, raised in Billings, worked in Laurel Montana for 22 years at the Burlington Northern Railroad and retired to Spokane Washington in 1999.

Red enjoyed playing Santa year round, flying miniature planes and being everyone’s handyman (genius with the duct tape).

Rugged is survived by his wife of 35 years, Margaret Martin (Peggy), Molly Bear (his dog), mother Nila Rae Hamilton, two daughters Nicola Hanson-Torgrimson (Chad Torgrimson), Kimberly Canoy (Chad Canoy), two baby brothers, Kelly Clark (Patty) and Shawn Clark (Teresa).

Grandchildren Cole Perrigo (Brittney), Caryn Perrigo.

Great-grandchildren.

In-laws Dick and Donna Kelly, all the Kelly “out-laws”, and many nieces and nephews.

Red was cherished by his huge family.
