Obituary: Franz, Lois Elaine (Brooks)

FRANZ, Lois Elaine (Brooks) On December 13, 2014, Lois Elaine Franz (Brooks) received the call from our Lord advising they were short an angel and she was called home early.

Lois was born March 7, 1938 in Priest River, Idaho to Fred and Edna Brooks.

She was one of nine children and grew up in the “Bear Paw” near Priest River.

Lois met and married the love of her life, James “Jim” Franz and the two were married for over 50 years when Jim preceded her in death in April 2007.

Their family grew to include five daughters and one son.

Lois is survived by daughters Kristi Walker, Mary Franz, Katherine Fiessinger, Jamie Pharis, Susan Broadhead, and son James R. Franz, II.

Her siblings, John “Jack” Brooks, David Brooks, Ralph Brooks, and Joyce Keeling.

Her brothers, Steve and Robert, and her sister Betty preceded her in death.

She has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with one on the way, and grandson Nicholas preceding her in death in 1990.

Services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 am, Lutheran Church of the Master, Kathleen and Ramsey Road in Coeur d’Alene.
