Warming centers in Spokane and North Idaho
Warming centers are for sheltering the homeless for brief intervals during extreme weather. These sites, which are not set up for lodging, are activated when temperatures drop to dangerously low levels.
Warming centers in Spokane:
- Single adult men: The Salvation Army Community Center, 221 Nora Ave. (use Nora Avenue entrance).
- Families with children and couples: The Salvation Army Family Resource Center, 204 E. Indiana Ave.
- Youth, ages 13-17: Crosswalk, 525 W. 2nd Ave.
- Single women: Hope House Shelter, 111 W. 3rd Ave.
