Obituary: Pease, Virginia Joyce

Age 88

PEASE, Virginia Joyce In Loving Memory of Virginia Joyce Pease, a long time resident of Valley, Washington, passed away on January 1, 2014 in Spokane, Washington.

Virginia was born on February 25, 1925, the daughter of Ernest and Florance (Smudlock) Fredrick.

Virginia graduated from Riverside High School in 1944.

After graduation she attended the school of cosmetology and received her manicure license.

She married James Pease in 1951 and together they lived in Spokane for seven years.

In 1958 James and Virginia moved to the Valley area with their two children.

James passed away in 1985 and Virginia continued living in Valley until 2005 when she moved to Spokane.

Virginia looked forward to the “Crazy Hat” contest every year at Royal Park Care Center.

She also spent much time reading and knitting.

Virginia had a way of cheering up everyone with her constant smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Pease; and a brother, Jack Fredrick.

Virginia is survived by her son, James “Jim” Pease of Deer Park, WA; daughter, Arlene Mitzner of Ocean Park, WA; sister-in-law, Colette Fredrick; four granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Virginia will be held in the spring.
