Obituary: Erickson, Joan (Osso)
Joan was a Spokane native born at Sacred Heart Hospital.
She was an alumnus of Rogers High School.
Joan worked at the Crescent Department Store for over 35 years.
She was a buyer first for childrens, then lingerie and lastly coats, suits and furs.
She was always a lady of style, elegance, grace and was loved by all who knew her.
Joan’s primary focus in life was always family and home.
She also loved to travel throughout our wonderful country with a special affinity for Las Vegas.
Joan loved the Zags, the Mariners and the Seahawks and enjoyed all of their games.
As a young woman, she was married to Victor Rizzo and had one child, Victoria.
In 1970 she married her love David.
Pre-deceased by her mother, Theresa Naccarato, father Paul Cagnacci and stepfather Sam Osso.
Joan is survived by her husband of 44 years David; daughter Vicky Scimone (husband Joe Scimone); sisters: Delores Miller and Rose MacCarrol(husband Dave); grandchildren: Shawn Weigel, Victor Rizzo (wife Metta) and Deena Cornelius; great-grandchildren: Tera Weigel, Giovanna Weigel, Victoria Rizzo, Angelo Cornelius, Kairee Weigel and Meena Cornelius; great-great-grandchildren: Cierra Lindquist, Brooklyn Fuerte and Myles Lindquist.
Slumber Room visitation at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home, 2203 North Division, 5:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, February 17th.
Service will be held at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home, 2203 North Division at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 18th.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Flowers are welcome.
