Boys basketball: Badgers muster win over Tigers

Josh Pluid and Connor Bennett each scored nine points as visiting Bonners Ferry held on to beat Timberlake 36-33 in a 3A District I playoff at Spirit Lake.

Keegan Scott had a game-high 19 points for the Tigers, whose season ended with the loss.

The Badgers must travel to McCall on Saturday to face Filer in a state play-in game.

Grangeville 56, St. Maries 44: The Bulldogs defeated the Lumberjacks in a loser-out, winner-to-state game at Troy. Josh Dame had 20 points for Grangeville.
