Obituary: Bower, Max Guy

Age 82

BOWER, Max Guy (Age 82) Max was born October 3, 1931 to Blanche and Marion Bower in Moses Lake, Washington and passed away at his home of more than 50 years on December 28, 2013.

He graduated from Springdale High School and married Sharon and together they had four children.

Max worked at High Grades, Armors Butcher Company, Haskins Steel and at Safeway Distribution Center.

He also managed Smith Brothers Greenhouse for an extended amount of time where his love of gardening originated, and his skills obtained there were engrained in him for a lifetime.

His passion for gardening was proudly displayed in his yard every year for many to enjoy including the annual family reunion held in August.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon; son Wes; his granddaughter Charity; his brothers Jake and Dennis; his sister Ruth; as well as his twin sister Maxine.

He is survived by his sons Kent and Guy; as well as his daughter Sheila; his brother Larry; and his sisters Edith, Elnora, Shirley and Leuella.

He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be officiated by Father Joe and will be held at 12:30 on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park located at 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA 99205.

All are encouraged to wear Seattle Seahawk gear or colors to the funeral service to honor and represent his love for his favorite team as they will be playing to secure their spot in the Super Bowl XLVIII.
