Obituary: Prafke, Aullie L.

PRAFKE, Aullie L. April 2, 1941 - December 21, 2013 Aullie L. Prafke, loving husband, father, grand- father, brother, uncle and friend to everyone, passed away December 21, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the result of a stroke he suffered while enroute to Tucson, AZ where he and his wife, Julie, were planning to spend several months camping and touring.

Aullie leaves behind his wife of 50 years, the love of his life; daughters Kelli Johnson (Charles) of Spokane, Traci Dodge (Shane) and grandsons Connor and Jack Dodge of Maple Valley, WA, sister Gloria Schrock and niece Lisa Allen of Coeur d’Alene, ID and many, many friends.

He and Julie have traveled for the last seven years visiting Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, China, Africa, Europe, Central and South America.

They took an Odyssey Across America for six months in 2010-2011, logging 24,000 miles while visiting 43 states and four Canadian Provinces driving the “Roads Less Traveled” in their 5th-wheel trailer with their two Miniature Schnauzers, Sadie and Lucy.

They were able to attend EWU Football’s national championship game in Frisco, TX, in January 2011, a highlight of their trip.

A celebration of his life will be held at CenterPlace Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA 99216, on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
