Obituary: West, Joy
Age 81
She was preceded in death by her youngest son Ryan and survived by her longtime partner Keith Beiber; sons Scott and Skip Wasmund; daughter-in-law Mary; grandchildren Taylor, Danielle, Makenzie, Cameron, Nicole, and great-grandson Zaylen.
Joy was born in Toppenish, WA and grew up in Bellingham, WA.
She moved to Spokane in 1968 where she raised her boys.
Joy worked at SNAP of Spokane, where she made many close friends that, along with her family, will miss her very much.
She enjoyed her job until she retired, but her number one priority was always her family.
She lived for her sons and they always knew she was there for them no matter what.
Never wanting to be the cause of anyone’s worries, Joy chose to keep her battle with cancer a private matter, only sharing with her family.
There will be a celebration of her life held at a later date.
