Car smashes into home in north Spokane

From staff reports
A car smashed into a home’s foundation after being cut off and flying out of control at Cleveland Avenue and Ash Street this morning. The blue Subaru was headed south down a curving hill on Ash around 8 a.m. when it was cut off by another car. The Subaru crossed Cleveland and slammed into a rental home on the southwest corner of Ash and Cleveland.

Police are looking for the owner of the other car, which left the scene. The driver of the Subaru was not seriously injured. The accident cracked and broke about 15 feet of the basement wall. The home’s owner was planning to jack the home up and reinforce it.
