Obituary: Cohn, Judith L.

COHN, Judith L. Passed away on December 18th, 2013 at her home in Tacoma, WA from cancer.

She was born July 10, 1940 at Spokane, WA to David M. and Eleanor (Becker) Cohn.

She grew up in Tekoa, attended Tekoa schools, and graduated from Tekoa High School in 1958.

In high school, Judy worked in area grain elevators during harvest, and worked as a lifeguard at the Tekoa pool.

Following high school, Judy attended Junior College at Wenatchee and Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

Following college, Judy went to work in the Seattle area for the airlines.

Judy worked as a flight attendant for Northwest Orient Airlines for the next 40 years.

Her airline nickname was ‘Kelly’.

Following her retirement, Judy made her home in Tacoma, WA.

She had been in failing health for the past few years.

During her life, Judy was married twice.

Her first marriage was to Stephen S. Palmer.

Her second marriage was to William C. Robinson, her high school sweetheart.

Judy was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and had been a Rainbow Girl during her school years in Tekoa.

Judy enjoyed hunting with her father on Tekoa Mountain.

Survivors include two stepchildren, Diana Friedman and Neil Robinson; stepgrandchildren, Jennifer and Ashley Robinson, and step great-grandchildren, Carter Robinson and Tyler Robinson.

Also surviving are numerous friends in the Tekoa area, and a plane load of Airline co-workers of the past forty years.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Kyle Robinson.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Tekoa Community Church in Tekoa, WA.

Pastor Kathy Lee Kramer will officiate at the service.

A private urn burial will be held in Goldenrod Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial gift may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
