Obituary: Glynn, Nett, Mary L.
Age 98
Mary passed away July 7, 2014, at Royal Park Care Center.
Mary was a self-taught organ, piano and violin player, who played at the country dances where she met Hubert Nett.
They were married in 1934.
Both Hube and Mary’s families were pioneers of the Chewelah Creek area.
Mary and Hube lived on the Nett homestead until 1945 when they moved to the Quarry where Hube was employed by the Northwest Magnesite Company.
In 1964 they moved into their new home in Chewelah.
Hube passed away in 1970.
In 1972 Mary married Roy Glynn who passed away in 1985.
Mary worked for Pacific Trail and Bowers and did seamstress work for many in the area.
She loved to travel and play bingo.
She was honored Senior Citizen of the Year in Chewelah.
She was a volunteer at the Chewelah Food Bank and Toys for Tots for many years.
Mary was active in the Rebekah Lodge and was a Noble Grand.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Surviving children: Eugene (Kathy) Nett of Spokane, Bethene Nett, Joyce Trondson and James (Rosa) Nett all of Deer Park; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
