Euclid Avenue parking plan

 Mayor Kevin Freeman on Tuesday updated the Millwood City Council on the Union Pacific Railroad’s action of restricting parking along its right-of-way along Euclid Avenue.

 “What we are going to provide the railroad is a conceptual plan for the parking there,” Freeman said. “And present that to the railroad as a point to begin negotiations.”

 Until an agreement is reached, the city has given the Millwood Presbyterian Church permission to close Marguerite Road on Wednesday afternoon during the Farmer’s Market for additional parking.

 City Planner Tom Richardson said if this experiment is successful, the road may be closed every Wednesday throughout the season.
