Obituary: Pasamonte, Irmgard “Oma”

Age 76

PASAMONTE, Irmgard “Oma” Born February 27, 1938 Went to Heaven May 21, 2014 “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28 Family and dear friends gathered together on June 3rd for a Celebration Of Life for Irmgard Pasamonte at Apple Way Court; Irmgard was born in Stuttgart, Germany to Willie and Erna Laendle.

She was employed as a florist, factory worker, and a in-home caregiver.

Irmgard was preceded in death by her brother, Werner and has a sister, Christa (Kenny) Hartman of Boyertown, PA, and a sister Elsbeth of Germany; and Tante Mathilde Smith of Deltona, Florida.

Irmgard met her former husband Joseph while he was stationed in Germany and she served her adopted country by supporting her husband as he fought for our freedoms we enjoy today.

Three blessed offspring were produced from their union; Patricia (Al) Enoka, Steven Thomas (Akiko) Pasamonte and Kenneth Wayne (Julie) Pasamonte.

Irmgard is also survived by 11 beloved grandchildren, one great-grandson; as well as nieces and nephews; all, who adore their Oma.

A friendship grew with her former husband Joe and his wife Nona, a testimony of forgiveness and grace that helped our family to heal.

A special mahalo (thank you) to the staff and residents of Apple Way Court, who will be held near and dear to our hearts.

And also to the awesome doctors, nurses and staff at Deaconess Hospital.

The care that our loved one received has touched our lives forever; and you will always be in our prayers ~ Unbroken Chain ~ We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you.

The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide.

And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken.

And nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one.

The chain will link again.
