Obituary: Mccarty, Tommy Otto
Age 83
He was born May 7th, 1931 to Guy Otto and Maggie Lee (Weast) McCarty in Asotin, WA.
He was a 1949 graduate of Otis Orchards High school.
Tommy began working at Kaiser as a brick mason in February of 1950.
As a freshman in high school he met the love of his life, Evelyn Tesch at a dance in Trentwood.
They celebrated 64 years of wedded bliss in April.
He had a great sense of humor and was the storyteller of the family.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, and their four kids; Dave (Judy), Ron (Beth), Karen (Dave), and Ken (Beth); nine grandkids (Shanon, Bryan, Jen, Scott, Stacy, Blake, Ben, Alex, and Madison); and nine great-grandkids (MaKenna, Micah, Isabelle, Masen, Peyton, Isaac, Austin, Connor, and Stuart).
Tommy was one of the three original callers of the Diamond Squares Club and helped build the Western Dance Center.
A Memorial Service is being planned for July 19th, 2014 at the Liberty Lake Community Church at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Liberty Lake Community Church or Meals on Wheels in the Spokane Valley.
