Secreters rub off on their opponents

No one ever owned the paint at Hoopfest quite like Evan Lundberg, Noah Royer, Nick O’Neel and Ryan Smith. Except that it rubbed off on everyone they played.

That’s because the teens’ uniforms had been sprayed on and when they broke a sweat, it was their opponents who were singing the washday blues – even if they won.

But if they came up short on the scoreboard, Lundberg and his mates nailed their name. They entered as the Secreters.

Why paint?

“So we didn’t have to go skins,” Royer said, “and make fools of ourselves.”
