Obituary: Brown, Marie Evelyn
Age 86
Marie was born in Omak, WA to Albert and Rose Semprimoznik on April 27, 1928.
She spent her childhood years in Aeneas, WA and rode horseback every day to attend Aeneas grade school.
Marie attended Tonasket High School, where she was crowned Prom Queen.
Upon graduation, Marie moved to Spokane, WA and attended Kinman Business School, where she met the love of her life and husband of 65 years, handsome Raymond Brown.
Marie spent her early years employed with Livingston Insurance Company.
She rounded out her working years cooking and managing in the kitchens of Shadle Park High School and Garfield Elementary School, where she retired after 22 years of service.
In her retirement years, Marie enjoyed traveling back and forth to Yuma, AZ where she visited with her snow-bird friends and enjoyed golf, one of her favorite pastimes.
Marie believed strongly in faith, the power of forgiveness, and most of all the importance of unconditional love.
Marie is survived by her dedicated husband, Raymond Brown; sincere siblings, Emily Carlton-Shove, DeeLoris Sylvester, Virginia Lorz, and Albert (Gayle) Semprimoznik; caring children, Rebecca Buchannan, Daniel (Thelma) Brown, Cynthia (Harlen) Rasmussen, and Timothy Brown; grateful grandchildren Jason Brown, Joselyn Brown, Tuesday Stoffers, Lennie Rasmussen, Lauren Rasmussen, and Fonda Brown; and growing great-grandchildren Gabriel Brown, Mikaela Brown, Gia Stoffers and Felicity Nennstiel.
A memorial mass will be held at Saint Thomas More Parish on July 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
Marie will always be missed by all that loved and knew her.
