Obituary: Halvorson, Ruby Elonora
Age 99
She was born on October 31, 1914 in Hawley, MN.
She graduated from Hawley High School in 1934.
She married the late Thomas Orlando Halvorson in 1941.
They lived in Moorhead, MN until relocating to Spokane in 1964.
Ruby was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She loved to garden, cook and most of all, loved to spend time with her family.
Ruby is survived by two sons, Leslie (Carla) Halvorson of Molalla, OR, and Randy (Christine) Halvorson of Spokane, WA.
She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kris (TJ) Brill, and Thomas (Cyndi) Halvorson; and one great-grandson, Teigen Brill; all of Spokane.
Living outside of Spokane, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Maye Bakken, Alice Kjos, Mickey Kjos, Clifford Kjos, Ardith Krombeck, Waldo Kjos, and Danny Kjos.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend more time with those you love.
We had almost 100 years with our beloved Ruby, and we wish we had more.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home in Spokane.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Hawley, MN at a later date.
