Obituary: Hammond, Connie Sue

HAMMOND, Connie Sue (Age 55) Connie passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

Connie was born April 13, 1959 to James and Georgia (Burchett) Hammond.

She graduated from Mead Sr. High School in 1977.

Connie was loved by many and she loved talking with and spending time with friends and family.

Connie loved helping others out by giving rides or taking pictures.

You could say picture taking was one of her passions along with drinking diet Coke, but her true love of children will be forever etched in everyone’s mind.

Connie was survived by her partner of 16 years James Hoyt, her daughter Sheena McVay, her two grandsons Davontae Hammond and Deontae Hammond, sisters Laura (Benway) Jackman, Kathleen Markley, brother James Hammond and family, niece Faye Benway and mother Georgia Benway, plus many cousins and other family members.

Connie was preceded in death by her granddaughter Taylynn McVay and father James Hammond.

The relatives and friends of Connie Hammond are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Potluck service Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Franklin Park in the Pavilion, on Division Street in Spokane WA.
