While at WSC she met Fredrick Hunter, a veterinary student, at a sorority dance.

Pat and Fritz were married in 1945 and celebrated 60 happy years together, until his death in 2005.

A lifelong Spokane resident, except for a few years during the Korean War when his Army service caused them to be stationed at various posts on the East coast, they returned to Spokane and established the Hunter Veterinary Clinic, where she worked as the receptionist in the early years.

She enjoyed art, music, Northwest history, camping, square dancing, and traveling.

For several years she worked as a docent at the Cheney Cowles Museum.

She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, PEO, Manito Garden Club and served as a Girl Scout Leader and Leader Trainer.

She was a wonderful wife and mother, as well as a loving and loyal friend.

She made friends wherever she went.

She passed away June 19th and is survived by her children, Dr. Brian Hunter (Gail), Dianne Hunter (John Hurst), and grandchildren Mikayla Hunter and Kyle Hunter.

Her husband Dr. Fredrick “Fritz” Hunter predeceased her in 2005.
