SHANE, Velvet Kay (Age 67) Passed away, May 19, 2014, at her home in Walla Walla, surrounded by her family, after a 15 month battle with cancer.
Born in Spokane on April 23, 1947 to Larry and Maxine Martin.
She graduated from Shadle Park High School, and married Dean Shane in 1965.
Together they had two sons, Wade and Troy.
A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, crafts, and taking care of her family.
Many summers were spent at Banks Lake with friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Dean; sons, Wade (Kelli), Troy (Angie); mother Maxine; brother Harlon; granddaughters, Taylor, Haylee, Marissa, Stephanie, Megan.
A celebration of life was held in Walla Walla.
