Obituary: Turpin, Tad

TURPIN, Tad Tad Charles Turpin (age 57), formerly of San Diego, CA died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane WA.

Tad was born in Spokane, WA, the son of Charles and Mary Turpin.

He graduated from Central Valley High School in the Spokane Valley.

Following gradua- tion Tad joined the U.S. Navy where he served his country for twenty years, was a decorated veteran of the Gulf War and eventually retired as a Master Chief.

Most of Tad’s navel career was spent as a member of the military police.

Following his retirement from the Navy, Tad worked in the security industry for several years.

He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 61, in Chula Vista, CA.

Tad eventually shifted career tracks and joined the Social Security Administration.

After several years in civil service, Tad retired a second time and relocated from San Diego to Spokane, to be closer to his family.

Tad was a die-hard Seahawks fan long before it was cool to be one.

Watching the Seahawks win the Super Bowl was one of his greatest recent pleasures.

Tad is survived by: brothers Dan Turpin, Spokane WA, Keith Turpin, Houston TX; sister, Debbie Seideman (Joe), Culdesac, ID; nephew, Austin Seideman, Lewiston, ID; niece, Alexis Seideman, Culdesac, ID; aunt, Nadine Ragsdale, Franklin TN; cousins, Delbert Ragsdale, Franklin TN and Teresa Ragsdale, Franklin TN.

Tad will be remembered by his family and many close friends for his kind, thoughtful and caring personality
