Obituary: Baisch, Kenneth “Ken”
He died surrounded by his loving family.
Ken entered the world in May of 1939 in Emmett Idaho.
Leaving their meager beginnings behind, his family packed up and moved to CDA when Ken was very young.
He graduated from CDA HS in 1957.
In his high school years, he found his love of music which led to his playing trombone in the Elks Dance Band for over 30 years.
He had an amazing voice which was heard as he sang with the church choir or riding in the car with his kids or his wife.
Having a cabin on Lake CDA allowed him to get his adrenaline rush performing difficult stunts for water ski shows or showing off his abilities on his catamaran.
Not until his 50’s did he discover the game of golf which he enjoyed the rest of his life.
Christmas was his favorite holiday which has provided many years of memories for all, especially his grandkids.
After a short stay in the Air Force, he returned to CDA to start his long career in the meat business.
While everyone remembers Sept 11, 2001 for the attack on the Twin Towers in NYC, Ken also remembers that was when he started working for John Morrell until his death.
When he and his wife were traveling in his sales territory, he would want to stop at every grocery store to introduce his wife to all the customers he cared so much about.
His untimely death fell short of his planned retirement scheduled for Sept 2014.
“My dear Ken, my Honey Bunny, I will forever miss our embrace, kiss and I love you each morning and each night.
I will miss all the moments in between as well.
Now Heaven is your home and someday I will meet you up there on the 19th green.”
Your loving wife, Eveline.
He leaves behind his wife, Eveline; Jill and Steve Banks; Kelly and Dave Seals; Kenny and Katie Yetter; Jessica, Austin, Alexis, and Paige Stolp; Joel, Summer and Jordan Olmstead; Shelby Wuesthoff; Carol Baisch; and finally MyLee and KenZ Baisch.
The public memorial will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Commons, Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute, 4000 W Randolph Rd, Spokane WA 99224.
