One of our Lord’s angels went to sit by his side on March 14, 2014 at the age of 96.

OraBelle Ewing Stolz passed away at the Monroe House Retirement Center in Moses Lake, WA.

OraBelle was born on October 29, 1917 in Spokane, WA to Manley and Martha Ewing.

She grew up and attended school in Spokane, graduating from Rogers High School.


OraBelle was active in the Spokane Fireman Auxiliary Club where she held many offices.

She was a volunteer in the Air Force Ground Observer Corps in the early 1950’s.

She loved her pinochle group that she was a part of for many years.

OraBelle was a wonderful homemaker - everyone loved her homemade chicken and noodles along with her pies.

OraBelle loved being a mother to her two boys and a great wife to her husband.

She loved fishing and camping with her family in the Spokane area lakes and in Montana.

She was always the top “fish-getter.”

She rarely had a negative comment about any of her friends or children.

Always supportive and positive, never forgot a birthday card.


She is survived by her son Gary (Karin) and daughter-in-law Jan. She has 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carl A., son Carl M., parents Manley and Martha Ewing, brothers Paul and Jerry, sisters Gladys Elmore and Harriet Brewer.
She will always be remembered as a loving, caring and compassionate lady amongst ladies.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home.
